Syria: terrorists kill 7 at al-Ikhbariya TV while EU shames itself with media sanctions

Terrorists have showed their true intention to freedom in Syria by breaking into al-Ikhbariya TV and brutally killing seven individuals. This follows on from recent sanctions by the European Union (EU) on the Syrian state controlled television and radio network system. Therefore, on the one hand you have terrorist networks under the Free Syrian Army (FSA) which believe in killing journalists in order to crush different opinions. On the other hand, you have the EU which prides itself on democracy but on this occasion it is acting like a “despotic state” in order to prevent the freedom of information.

It is known that the FSA and Islamists are obtaining direct funding and covert support from many sources. This notably applies to America, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, and the United Kingdom. Proxy governments in Libya and Kosovo where the organ tainted Hashim Thaci still wields sizeable power, are also involved in the many ratlines which are sending direct military support and offering various types of assistance.

Ironically, the majority of Western media agencies have sided with the FSA and other anti-Bashar al-Assad forces. Yet this brutal massacre of journalists and other people connected with al-Ikhbariya TV was done by the “angelic terrorists” which have been glorified. Therefore, often you have had a “wall of silence” to protect their brutal and evil crimes. However, now the new joint reality is abundantly clear. This applies to FSA terrorists killing journalists while the EU and others silence the Syrian media by imposing sanctions against media sources deemed to be friendly to the government of this country.

The Information Minister of Syria, Omran al-Zoubi, was visibly shocked and emotionally charged by the brutal murders of journalists and other people connected with al-Ikhbariya TV. Omran al-Zoubi commented that “This massacre won’t go unpunished and the broadcast of the Syrian al-Ikhbariya Satellite Channel will not stop and we hold the EU, Arab and International organizations responsible for this massacre.”

He further stated that ““Those who committed this crime had carried out the decision of the Arab League Council to silence the voice of Syria.” It must be stated that many pro-Bashar al-Assad loyalists have been killed after their information was put on Facebook. This means that while political organizations are imposing sanctions and other measures against media outlets which support the Syrian government position; the terrorists are going one step further by killing journalists in cold blood and the same applies to murdering pro-Syrian government supporters.

This combination is extremely dangerous. After all, with the “free press” in the West being anti-Syrian government apart from a minority of outlets which seek a more balanced approach. It is clear that the government of Syria needs “a voice” to highlight the other side of the story. Media wise, many major agencies have shamed themselves over their coverage of Syria.

CNN even highlighted an individual who was prompting gunfire and only when this individual was caught out did this agency concern itself with finding the truth. Even then, CNN massaged and manipulated the English language in order to spin the event. Since then, this agency, along with Al Jazeera, have continued with deplorable headlines before it was even clear who committed the massacre that they were reporting on, or if it existed at all. Given this, it is essential that media agencies in Syria are allowed to inform Syrians, the Middle East, and the entire international community about events which are happening on the ground.

It is clear that if these journalists had been killed by the Syrian armed forces then international condemnation would have reached fever pitch. Similarly, if the journalists killed had been Western journalists then nations would have threatened Syria aggressively. However, these three journalists and other individuals killed in the assault belong to the wrong side. Therefore, Western political leaders, anti-Syrian nations in the Middle East, media agencies, human rights organizations, and others in the chain of deception, will gloss over the silencing of journalists and other staff members who were killed in cold blood.
