In the past two weeks Sunni Takfiri Islamists have attacked many nations including Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Indonesia, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria and Turkey. At the same time, nations like Chad, Egypt, Mali and Yemen remain blighted by forces loyal to al-Qaeda and ISIS (Islamic State – IS). Likewise, nations like Belgium and France have major issues in relation to the same Sunni Islamist forces that seek to install fear throughout the wider society. Therefore, the brutal terrorist attack in Burkina Faso is following a similar path based on the same religious force.

It must be stated that each nation is complex, for example Turkey is involved in Muslim Brotherhood and Takfiri Islamist intrigues against Syria. Also, ethnic issues persist with the Kurds in Turkey and the Alevi religious minority faces discrimination. Similarly, Pakistan is involved in destabilization policies aimed at Afghanistan and India ruled Kashmir. On top of this, nations like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and many others, abide by institutional religious discrimination. This is aimed at minority Muslim sects and non-Muslim faiths alike.

The recent terrorist attacks in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, France, Indonesia and Turkey by Sunni Takfiri Islamists, are all aimed at greater international conflagration. Yet Sunni Islamist hatred is also based on its ideology of supremacy that can be found naturally within Sharia Islamic law that supports apartheid held beliefs against non-Muslims. This reality, for example, is embedded within all institutions in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, not one single Buddhist temple, Christian church or Hindu temple is tolerated in Saudi Arabia and this is replicated in other parts of the world.

On top of this, vast numbers of Sunni Islamist clerics and state institutional hatred is aimed at Shia Muslims. Given this reality, minority Muslim sects including the Alawites, Ahmadiyya, Alevi, Shia, and others, face enormous persecution. Not surprisingly, ISIS and various al-Qaeda affiliates have butchered countless numbers of Shia Muslims and blown up Shia mosques. Similarly, in nations like Saudi Arabia the Shia face institutional discrimination and recently a leading Shia cleric was executed.

Hatred and loathing towards the Shia community throughout Sunni Muslim dominated nations is all too common. This even applies to so-called moderate nations like Malaysia where the Shia faith is illegal. In other words, the Shia face the brutal reality of daily terrorism in several nations, institutional hatred throughout mainly Sunni Muslim dominated nations and combined Sunni Muslim intrigues (supported by major Western powers) in nations like Syria and Yemen.

Burkina Faso

Turning back to the brutal terrorist attack in Burkina Faso, then in the mindsets of Sunni Takfiri Islamists the only thing that mattered was to butcher innocents. At the same time, by attacking another country in such a brutal fashion then the sword of Sunni Takfiri jihad can highlight its growing international outreach. Indeed, the endless march of Sunni Islamist hatred and oppression is growing in countries like Bangladesh where writers and bloggers are butchered in brutal ways.

It is known that 26 people perished in the terrorist attack in Burkina Faso but this number may increase because many people have been injured. The BBC reports Burkina Faso’s government says 26 people were killed and a further 56 injured after Islamist militants attacked a hotel in the capital, Ouagadougou, popular with foreigners.

President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré of Burkina Faso condemned the brutal terrorist attack and stated it was “vile.” Equally, President Francois Hollande stated that the barbaric terrorist attack was “odious and cowardly.”

France 24 reports: Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has said it carried out the attack in the West African nation, according to the SITE jihadist monitoring group.”

The nation of Burkina Faso is multi ethnic and multi religious and within the Muslim faith itself you have enormous diversity. At the same time, since October 2014 internal political tensions remain. Therefore, it is essential that powerful nations and international institutions support Burkina Faso, and other regional nations like Mali, because vacuums are always dangerous.
